Petscreen SPF 23 contains three different sunscreen agents to give animals broad-spectrum protection from
both UVA and UVB components of sunlight. The product has a Sun Protection Factor of 23, tested on human
skin. This is adequate for protection of animals from the long-term effects of excessive exposure to the sun.
Composition
Octocrylene, Octyl Dimethyl PABA and Butyl in a special lick-resistant, quick-drying base.
Directions for use
Apply liberally to susceptible areas once daily when necessary.
Packaging
100ml spray-pump polyethylene bottle.
Storage
Keep in a cool place.

Petscreen SPF 23 protects against UVA and UVB sunlight. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is a measure
of the efficiency of a sunscreen. The SPF of 23 means that a human could stay out in the sun 23 times longer
after applying Petscreen SPF 23 than if it were not applied. Clearly it would be difficult to conduct
a meaningful test on animals, as the degree of reddening of the skin would be difficult to assess.
Common areas requiring sun protection:
- a) Cats - noses and ears
- b) Dogs - bellies, flanks, noses, ears
- c) Rabbits - ears
- d) Horses - pale muzzles
- e) Pigs - all over!
- f) Cattle - white flesh and ears
