Drontal Worming for Puppies

Description A pink suspension for oral administration to puppies and young dogs. Each ml of suspension contains 14.4 mg pyrantel embonate and 15 mg febantel. Sodium benzoate (2.05 mg/ml) and sodium propionate (2.05 mg/ml) are present as preservatives.

Uses For the treatment and control of roundworms (ascarids), in particular Toxocara canis, of puppies and young dogs up to one year of age. The product will also be effective against: Hookworm: Ancylostoma caninum Whipworm: Trichuris vulpis

Dosage The dose is 1 ml suspension/kg bodyweight (equivalent to 14.4 mg/kg pyrantel embonate and 15 mg/kg febantel).

Through intrauterine and transmammary infection, ascarid infection may occur in dogs at a very early age. It is recommended that treatment with Drontal Puppy Suspension should start at 2 weeks of age and be repeated at two weekly intervals until 12 weeks of age.

Administration is by the oral route. The product may be given directly to the animal or mixed with the feed. No special dietary measures are necessary.

Mix the product by inversion of the container before withdrawing the required dose.
